CEU Update - New Web Site Coming Soon!

As part of our continuing efforts to improve our services to our participants, Quantum Units Education will soon be releasing a new website with greatly improved features thanks to the feedback from our customers.
Some things won’t change. We will still offer the lowest prices you will find on the internet! You will still get the same outstanding customer support! And our free open source materials are still available for viewing and printing before you pay!
If you are a returning participant you will find the following features are being added:
1) Access to your personal record! You will now sign up for an account before taking an electronic exam and submitting payment. This account is free and will allow you to have access to all paid and unpaid exams you have taken, all certificates issued and all payment records.
2) Instantly download your certificates! After submitting payment for an electronic exam you may now instantly print your certificate. You will still have the option of requesting a copy via fax or US mail if you do not have access to a printer.
3) Smoother checkout process! We no longer use PayPal as our credit card processing center. All payments may now be made conveniently and securely at our website. You will find the process much smoother. We will continue to offer other options for submitting payment.
4) Newsletter! You may now sign up for our monthly email newsletter which will inform you of new course offerings. It is our goal to add one new course each month.
5) One payment button! We have applied NBCC guidelines for all course hour determinations (4000 words per CEU) to eliminate the confusion of 2 payment options.
6) License renewal reminder! Sign up to receive automatic email reminders 90 days before your license renewal is set to expire.

New Online CEU Course: Child Abuse & Neglect Treatment

Quantum Units Education is offering a new online ceu course: Treatment for Child Abuse and Neglect Issues. This course is available for 8 ceu hours and is applicable to licensed marriage and family therapists, social workers, counselors and nurses. See our ceu approved provider list for other licenses and credentials that would apply.
Course Description:
This is another excellent public domain Treatment Improvement Protocol (TIP) manual compiled by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). It presents information to assist alcohol and drug counselors and other treatment providers to work with adults who have histories of childhood abuse or neglect and adults who abuse or who are at risk for abusing their own children.
Course Objectives:
1) Demonstrate knowledge of the implications for treatment of clients with abuse histories and incidence of child abuse and neglect.
2) Recognize challenges and special considerations in accurate screening and assessment for a history of child abuse and neglect.
3) Demonstrate understanding of comprehensive treatments for adult survivors of child abuse and neglect.
4) Identify therapeutic issues for counselors.
5) Enumerate strategies for breaking the cycle of the substance-dependent client parenting and potentially endangering children.
6) Identify legal responsibilities and recourse for treatment professionals.
7) Recognize emerging trends/issues.

CEU Discount Plans Reduced Prices for the Holiday Season!

Quantum Units Education has reduced the prices on their various discount plans for the upcoming holiday season. Prices begin with the 30 ceu discount plan at only $50. These prices are temporary and will remain active only for the duration of the 2007 year. Beginning January 2008 discount plans will revert back to the older price scale. Online CEUs: Ethical & Legal Issues in Treating HIV Clients

Quantum Units Education has posted a new online ceu (continuing education) course titled: Ethical & Legal Issues in Treating HIV Clients.
This course has been approved for 7 hours of continuing education for license renewal for all therapists, social workers, nurses, counselors and many others working in the health and human services field.

Home Study CEUs - Keep Your Course Textbook!

Quantum Units Education has changed it’s home study ceu program to now include the course textbook when a participant places an order. In the past, participants were loaned a ceu course textbook while Quantum Units paid to have the text shipped both ways. Now the participant may keep the textbook at no extra charge! Our prices haven’t changed!
Our TIP Manuals (Treatment Improvement Protocols) are still sent out on a loaned basis. We need to keep these manuals on hand as it can take a couple of months for a participant to receive a free copy from SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Association).
Quantum Units is dedicated to offiering low cost ceus online and through home study in order to assist licensees and pre-licensees in maintaining their place in the work force.

From our Home Study Library, we will loan you one of our recycled texts and mail you a course exam, an evaluation form, and prepaid return packaging! All shipping costs to and from both destinations is paid for by Quantum Units - Think Netflix.Or, you may order your own copy of the above book through Amazon.com or another book seller and purchase the exam only version of this course. See below to place your order.
Free Shipping - We now use ‘priority mail’ instead of ‘media mail’ for all home study with book orders. Priority mail allows your order to arrive within 2-3 days after shipping. Please keep in mind when ordering a home study ceu course that you will need to allow time for your order to arrive both ways, in addition to the time needed for study and to resubmit the material back to Quantum Units Education. All home study exams are graded the day they are received in our office. Your ceu certificate is issued the same day. ‘Home Study Exam Only’ orders are shipped first class. All home study ceu courses are approved for licensed therapists, counselors, nurses and social workers.

Methamphetamines presents essential information for professionals who may encounter methamphetamine users, settings where meth is used or manufactured, and children at risk due to caregiver meth use of meth lab dangers. It focuses on risk assessment and worker safety in these situations.

New Home Study CEU Course - Treating Addicted Survivors of Trauma

Quantum Units Education, a national provider of online and home study continuing education courses, has added their latest home study course: Treating Addicted Survivors of Trauma. This home study course is a 30 ceu hour course for $150 if ordered with the book. Participants may choose the ‘exam only’ version of the course for only $90. NCC’s, National Certified Counselors, may order the new home study course for 20 ceu contact hours at $100 or the ‘exam only’ version for $60. New CEU Course Added! Alcohol Problems in Intimate Relationships

Quantum Units Education has posted a new online ceu course, Alcohol Problems in Intimate Relationships. This ceu course is worth 6 ceu hours and only cost $18. For those licensed through NBCC, the National Board of Certified Counselors, the course is 2.5 ceu hours for $7.50. All of our online ceus and home study ceus are approved for continuing education hours for mfts, lcsws, counselors and nurses.
