CEU Course Description
Biology of Aging describes some of the National Institute of Aging's exciting findings about the basic biology of aging and points to directions for future investigation.
CEU Course Objectives
1. Describe biological factors that influence lifespan, aging, and disease.
2. Discuss the necessary use of animal research as a means of understanding human aging and human physiology.
3. Identify scientific research into genetic factors that may influence longevity in humans, including the emerging area of epigenetics.
4. Evaluate ways that metabolism, stress, and changes in the immune system impact aging.
