CEU Course Description
This course summarizes key issues and changes in the 2010 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). Its focus is on resuscitation science and new recommendations to the CPR guidelines that are most important or controversial, or will result in changes in the practice of resuscitation or resuscitation training. It also provides the rationale for the recommendations.
CEU Course Objectives
1. Be familiar with all key changes to the AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC.
2. Understand the research and science behind the 2010 changes.
3. Know what changes are most important for which types of responders, e.g., lay rescuers, emergency medical responders, 911 dispatchers, etc.
