CE Course Description

Medical errors continue to be a major public health issue. This paper attempts to bridge a possible disconnect between behavioral science and the management of medical care.

CE Course Objectives

  1. Discuss the relevance of Organizational behavior management (OBM) in improving healthcare and reducing medical errors.
  2. Summarize the four domains of medical errors.
  3. Identify strategies to reduce medical errors in healthcare.
  4. Describe OBM interventions and specific behavioral targets to address various types of medical errors.
